Strange things come together within the same pictorial space, drawn from a vast image archive that may once have served a purpose, but now proliferates wildly into infinity. The individual elements lose their original meaning in this encounter, and within the new context, no new sense emerges. The image cannot be explained by the sum of its constituent parts. It formulates its antithesis through incoherence, opening a suspended space that adopts the form of the objects while freeing them from the weight of their former content.
The antipictures are echoes of an overflowing, rapidly spinning image-world, pauses for reflection, fragments of a vague remembering, loosely linked into erratic chains of association that can easily fall apart again. Their meanings and allusions remain open, with soft edges, allowing for osmotic, rhizomatic, and maybe even logical pathways of thought.
